Berlinda Retland, MS, CRNP, PMHNP-BC

Berlinda Retland is a licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, who is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Berlinda has been providing psychiatric and medical care for over 10 years. Her motto is, meeting her client’s where they are, but supporting them in getting to where they truly want to be. She is passionate about her clients achieving a more fulfilling life by successfully managing their mental health. Your initial session with Berlinda will be comprised of a comprehensive evaluation to obtain your history, presenting symptoms, and underline condition. Berlinda will then collaborate with you to identify appropriate medication and therapy options. She will continue to meet with you for wellness checks and offer adjustments in treatment as needed to ensure your mental health remains stable. Berlinda works with clients that have mood disorders (such as depression and bipolar), anxiety disorders, substance abuse, psychosis, ADHD, and various other diagnoses. She has previously worked inpatient and outpatient psychiatry, substance abuse, addictions, and emergency psychiatric care.

Berlinda holds a Master’s degree from Stony Brook University where she studied to become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, and a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Howard University.
