Melanie Countee




Melanie started as an intern with NMCC and has recently gained her license as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Maryland and is certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors. She has experience working with justice-involved populations, children, adolescents, teens, and adults through individual, couple, and family counseling. Her areas of interest include anxiety, anger management, depression, trauma, attachment styles, co-dependency, and more. Melanie considers herself a healer who assists her clients in finding mental, emotional, and spiritual balance through a variety of therapeutic interventions and approaches. She also offers flexibility in scheduling with weeknight and weekend availability.
Melanie holds a B.A in Psychology from Texas Southern University, a M.A in Forensic and Legal Psychology from Marymount University, and a M.A in Mental Health Counseling from Bowie State University. She also holds a Level 1 Jiivana Yoga Teacher Training Certificate from Spiritual Essence Yoga & Wellness Center and is a Usui Reiki II Practitioner.
