Jasmyne Johnson

Counselor

Jasmyne is a Licensed Clinical professional counselor with experience working with diverse individuals in a variety of settings to include, adolescents, adults, families, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and individuals involved with the legal system. Jasmyne is trained in cognitive- behavior, emotionally- focused, and trauma- focused therapy. Jasmyne has utilized techniques from her training to work with individuals that have been affected by childhood and adult trauma, substance abuse, intimate partner violence, serious mental illness, behavioral and adjustment disorders, grief, anxiety, depression, and individuals diagnosed with personality disorders.

Jasmyne has experience providing individual, group, and family counseling in a variety of setting including community- based programs, outpatient mental health clinics, and correctional facilities. Jasmyne believes in utilizing and blending the appropriate modalities and strength- based approaches to assist clients in achieving their desired therapeutic goals. In addition, Jasmyne believes in utilizing a strong therapeutic alliance to assist clients in discovering their most authentic selves and developing a life in alignment with their treatment goals. 


Jasmyne holds a M.A. in Forensic Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Washington, DC. In her free time, Jasmyne enjoys playing flag football and recreational basketball, cycling, yoga, and painting.
