Group Therapy
You are not alone.
Group Therapy at NMCC
In group therapy, we normalize, validate, and support each other through difficult experiences. We also learn and live vicariously through our group family.
Groups are especially helpful to those who feel isolated or who have a limited support system.
The power of the group lies in what is said and unsaid in the moments we need it most.

6-Sessions, Starts January 22, 2023
Description
This in-person group is for individuals who struggle with Anxiety. Group members must currently have a hard time dealing with anxiety, including challenges with moments that are more intense and prolonged. We will teach coping skills and approach trauma with art and imagination. Expressive Arts allows us to express ourselves in a way that relies less on verbal expression, which can be a difficult task for many. Another benefit of this group is that participants can initially diffuse a stressful environment in the therapy setting. There will be a safe space to vent, process, and find tools for mindfulness.
