Therapist Interns

Working with an intern can be a cost-effective way to receive evidence-based treatment for a bargain deal. Our interns are currently studying at accredited universities and provide services under the direction of faculty and clinical supervisors.

Here are some things to consider:

Pros: Interns spend a lot more time studying, analyzing, and gathering research on their client’s presenting problem than many senior therapists. As a part of their training, interns utilize peer-reviewed journals and expert advice from faculty to give their clients the best care. Their knowledge is fresh and current. As a bonus, interns are often energetic and willing to be more flexible and complete with their treatment approach.

Considerations: Interns may ask to confidentially record sessions for their supervisors to evaluate their performance. Interns will not be able to complete paperwork or participate in cases that involve court-ordered treatment, active custody disputes, or recent hospitalizations.
