Principal Therapist

Maya is a licensed clinical marriage and family therapist with experience working with vulnerable populations. She has experience treating male and female victims of sexual assault, incest, and childhood sexual abuse; veterans; homeless ; chronically ill individuals; individuals with mood disorders; children with ADD/ADHD and other emotional and behavioral problems; couples struggling with intimacy and sexual functioning; and couples recovering from affairs. Maya is also trained to work with diverse families, such as blended families; cohabitating couples with children; co-parenting couples; single-parent households; and parenting grandparents.

Maya is a Clinical Fellow of American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. Maya holds received her B.A  in psychology and public policy analysis from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her M.S. in Couple and Family Therapy from the University of Maryland, College Park.
